The wedding day was awesome! The day went so smoothly and Matt and I were so grateful to see lots of family and friends that supported us. It was a little hot while taking pictures at the temple but we tried to hurry that up so there wouldn't be too much whining, ha ha. The luncheon food was so delicious and was a lot of fun. The decorations for the luncheon as well as the reception turned out so great. Kris Feltwell is awesome! She did such a great job. As for the reception it was such a beautiful night. A little windy at first but that died down quickly and it was awesome! The night was non-stop for us until about 10 (or later). Our cake turned out so good and tasted wonderful! As for the chocolate fountain, we heard that it was a great hit but we didn't actually get to try it. Like I said the night was very busy. It was such a great day!
Then it was off to the honeymoon! Sunday we headed down to Vegas to stay until Thursday. We had reservations to stay at Mandalay Bay and when we got there we planned on doing an upgrade. Since it was our honeymoon and all we actually got a FREE upgrade. They put us up in THE hotel on the 61st floor. Two floors from the top. The room was so nice! And the hotel was so cool! They had about 20 restaurants inside the hotel and lots of different things to do!
We went to the pool. It was awesome but we only ended up going once. It was so crowded that you were laying about 4 inches away from the person next to you. After the pool we went shopping for a little bit and checked the hotel out a little more.
My favorite thing that we did was go to BLUE MAN GROUP. It was so sweet. I had never been to a show in Vegas and that set the bar high for me. We both had a lot of fun and it was very interesting.
One day we spent a lot of the day shopping. Matt was a good sport and actually got a few things for himself. It was nice to have a little shopping spree. :) Haven't done that in awhile.
Both of us had never been to M&M world or the Coca-Cola factory so we did that one day. They had some cool stuff but the both of us aren't really into trinkets or expensive M&Ms so, we didn't get anything, ha ha.
The last night we were there we did a ton of walking. We to Caesars Palace and had Cheese Cake Factory. After we ate we went to check out the volcano. After the volcano we went to see the fountains. It was a great way to end the honeymoon.
Here are a few pictures from the honeymoon.

On our way to Blue Man Group.
Here is another picture from our room!
Matt and I had a lot of fun. It was nice to get away but, I think both of us were ready to get back to reality. We stayed in St. George on Thursday and opened all of our gifts on Friday. We are so lucky to have such great friends and family. We really got a haul and can't wait to use everything.
That same day we got all packed up to head to Hatch. We have been here for a few days and just trying to get everything settled. We are staying in the ranch house which Matt's parents just remodeled the whole thing. (This will probably be the nicest place we will live at for the next couple of years.) Matt has been coming up to Hatch every summer since he was very young. So, he is use to living here. As for me that is a different story. It has been fun so far and Matt said I will be a ranching girl in no time, ha ha.
Things are going good for us. We both have jobs, have a place to live, and we couldn't be happier!
Congratulations you guys! Sounds like the honeymoon was a great time. We want to see the newly remodeled cabin. I am sure that we will see you guys soon up there or here in st george sometime this summer.
ReplyDeleteCongrats! You guys look so happy. That's great about the FREE upgrade! I'm all for free things!
ReplyDeleteAlso- I updated the reunion blog! I don't know if you've seen it yet. Check it out! :) And let me know if you guys can make it! :)
